Visual storying expands understanding of others, tells and listens, is a method of literacy and pedagogy, incorporates crafting and creating, and sparks conversation.  It uses art as literacy.  When a visual image is created, the creator has a story in mind.  Images can be symbols for words, emotions, ideas, etc.  When you share stories, they become something new.  Using a visual in storying or storytelling helps in communication and making sure others understand the message or meaning.
